A thought occurs that, notwithstanding any benefits, could it be that one of the greatest dangers of social media and online publications (including Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, as well as leftist news sites, etc.) is that they create a space where the godless can congregate, educate, conspire, coordinate, disseminate?
If God did not allow the continuation of the construction of Babel back then by creating language differences, what might He do providentially to scatter people from the power of social media in today’s time?
Of course, God can do what he wills. But, I know of no passage to indicate that he will now keep things from deteriorating. "The last days" will bring "times of difficulty," "while evil people...will go on from bad to worse" (2 Tim. 3:1, 13).

Good question!
