Do you think most members of the church--despite a mountain of biblical language to the contrary--think of God as being more "hands off" regarding earthly affairs (including governments) than the verses indicate?
Truly, I have not thought about it. Of those I have heard, it is mostly they are perplexed as to why He allows certain people be in position to perpetuate corruption in moral areas.
