Proverbs 15:1. A soft answer turneth away wrath; But a grievous word stirreth up anger.
I have worked hard through the years to get a handle on my emotions, especially when I feel as if injustice has been done to me. This includes how I return answer to a person who lashes out at me. For the most part, I have done well; every now and again, not so much. I do well when I recall the Lord’s way like this proverb. If someone is unjustly angry, my lashing out will not help. If someone is justly angry, a calm answer can bring down the boiling point. What is needed is not a tit-for-tat, resulting in a potential volcanic reaction; instead, what is needed is a solution to a difficult circumstance. They way you reply lends itself (or should) to that end. #proverbs, #communication, #solutions
Good thoughts. I'm just now getting caught up reading your series.
I appreciate you looking at them, Weylan.
