WISDOM CALLS OUT
Proverbs 8:1-4. Doth not wisdom cry, And understanding put forth her voice? On the top of high places by the way, Where the paths meet, she standeth; Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud: Unto you, O men, I call; And my voice is to the sons of men. What is this wisdom that calls out and invites all to hear and heed her words? It is not “what”, but “who” is this wisdom that is crying out? It was the Lord, in Matthew 11:28-30, who called out to any who weary and heavy laden with a burden too much to carry, which means all of us. The Lord invites us to hear His wisdom, encouraging us to compare it with the wisdom of man. The Lord has nothing to fear; His wisdom has stood and will continue to stand the test of time. The wisdom of man is but foolishness to Him.
