When You Weep a Tear
*Based on a quotation by Charles Spurgeon*
When you weep a tear, your Father sees, Your sighs can stir the very heart of God; His ear inclines to hear your whispered pleas, Your quiet faith, his powerful lightning rod. Think not that God rests in eternal slumber, Remote from needs, and slow to rouse and move. Your name’s engraved upon his hand, your numbered Days upon his heart, your trust to prove. He thought of you before the worlds were made. Before he stirred the ocean lanes at will, Or raised the mountain’s peak in cloudy shade, He thought of you. He thinks about you still.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s amazing how even a single tear matters to God. So many times people cry in silence thinking nobody sees or understands their pain, but the Lord sees every hidden hurt and every burden carried in the heart. Psalm 56:8 says, “Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” That verse always reminds me that none of our sorrow is ever ignored by God. I also thought about how Jesus Himself wept. John 11:35 simply says, “Jesus wept.” Even the Son of God expressed grief, compassion, and deep emotion. That shows us that tears are not weakness. Sometimes they are part of healing, surrender, and drawing closer to the Lord. What encouraged me most is the reminder that God is near during seasons of brokenness. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” Often the moments when we feel most shattered are the very moments when God is holding us closest. Sometimes we pray for strength while God quietly teaches us dependence on Him through our pain. There are seasons where words fail and all we can do is cry before the Lord, yet even then He understands the language of our hearts. Romans 8:26 says that the Spirit helps our infirmities and intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. I also believe many people needed this reminder because the world often tells us to hide our pain and pretend we are okay. But God invites us to come honestly before Him. He is not distant from our suffering. Revelation 21:4 gives such beautiful hope saying, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” One day every sorrow, grief, and heartbreak will finally be healed in His presence. Sometimes the tears we cry today become part of the testimony God uses tomorrow to comfort someone else who is hurting. 2 Corinthians 1:3 and 4 reminds us that God comforts us in our troubles so we can comfort others. Even when life feels heavy and confusing, the Lord is still faithful and present beside us. Thank you again for sharing this beautiful reflection. It reminds people that pain is not wasted in Gods hands and that even through tears, the Lord is still working, comforting, healing, strengthening, and drawing hearts back to Himself.
