ThanksGiving
Thanksgiving comes but once a year
We could scarce afford it every week
A splendid feast with those held dear
Respite from a world too bleak
If we could keep it every day
No, not so much the feasting part
But had a thankful word to say
Welling up in generous heart
Each hour become a way of living
To keep the soul from drought and dearth
To give more thanks and do more giving
We'd see heaven while we're still on earth.
