Simple! He said. Don’t go beyond
My Word – stay close to the Sacred Text:
The Bible is guide and power and bond,
And window to know what happens next.

Scripture shows the only way
To God, through Jesus’ sacrifice,
Prepares us for the promised Day,
And makes his manifold grace suffice.

Mixed with human thought and rules,
The Bible loses its power and force;
Those who add to its words are fools,
Cut off from Heaven’s saving source.
