Let your love show
Pro 3:1 My son, forget not my law; But let thy heart keep my commandments: There is no higher and virtuous standard to live by than the Lord’s. People have tried to excel it, but came up terribly short, thus missing the mark they know is beneficial to their lives. To obey the Lord’s commands out of genuine love and trust in the Lord are never guilty of what some call “works righteousness”; those who say as much are misinformed in other matters related to biblical knowledge also. “Let your love show” is a line in a song many years ago, but the sentiment predates that song by many generations.
Can we say it this way? God's grace is the principle of salvation; Christ's blood is the element activating salvation by grace; our obedience is the accessing of grace and the walking in it.
