God Is Good and Just
God is good and just and never fails,
His robust Word is flung to the farthest isles,
His rescuing Grace to fallen humanity calls.
For journeys long the Lord will keep us safe;
No hair from the head can fall, no tiny leaf
Escapes his eye, no lamb beyond his staff.
At his table God reserves a seat,
He gives the loaf of life, the fullest plate,
The worker’s honor in splendor’s colored coat.
All glory is his, both man and gospel made;
To walk in his cooling shadow makes us glad:
God never fails, for he is true and good.
